文字化けする Website, NetBSD の CVS, XFree86-4.1.0 で GeForce2 MX200 を使うと

文字化けする Website を幾つかみつけた。

いづれも中身がShift_JIS であるのに<meta http-equiv="Content-type" content="text/html charset=Shift_JIS">と書いていないため。

この文字化け現象なんだけど、ブラウザの設定にもよるんだけど、日本語の auto detect (自動検出) 機能を利用していない場合によく起こる。まだ日本語の Website だけを見ている人ならイイんだけど、フランス語とかの Web を見る機会の多いひとだと ISO-8859 の部分とEUC-JP, Shift_JIS の部分が被るばあいがあるからチト困るんだなぁ。

今、NetBSD の CVS の Head を anoncvs.netbsd.org から落しているんだけど、結構動作が遅いなぁ。 CVS Server が混んでいるのかノロいのか線が細いのかといった原因は不明だが。それに比べて XFree86 の Anonymous CVS は速いんだけどねぇ。

なんか XServer が腐る。あと、nVidia の GL がグリグリできるドライバがインストールできないかどうかを調査中。bin/XFree86 へのドライバはそのままでも動くのかもしれないし、Kernelのドライバもガムバれば Porting できるのかもしれないけどlibGL の方は難しそうだなぁ。
